KENTS CAVERN
Kents Cavern is one of Europe’s most important examples of Palaeolithic caves, and contains one of Britain’s earliest recorded dwellings. The Cavern has been attracting visitors for decades, and is full of intriguing geological features. BYGONES VICTORIAN MUSEUM
Bygones Victorian Museum allows you to step back in time and experience life as it was in another era. It is very much a hands-on experience; an authentic replica of a Victorian street, complete with period shops and models, is just one of the historic scenes. The time warp continues with a replicated First World War trench, which captures the sights, sounds and smells of battle; while the Anderson shelter lets visitors experience the terror of an air raid. STEAM RAILWAY
The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway is a superbly preserved stretch of line, running from the Torbay town of Paignton, along the spectacular coast, through Churston and the delightful South Devon countryside, and terminating in Kingswear some 7 miles away.
